The Power Cosmic is a fictional force that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics, primarily wielded by the cosmic entity Galactus.

The Silver Surfer, as well Galactus’ other heralds, possess certain measures of the Power Cosmic. Bestowed on them by Galactus during their service to him, their abilities and assigned elements of influence vary, but the power can usually be expelled violently as concussive force and used with precision as a means to restructure molecules according to the user’s mental design. However, heralds are imbued with only a fraction of the amount possessed by Galactus and he has repeatedly shown that he is able to strip them of the power he has afforded them

During the Annihilation fictional crossover event, the Power Cosmic was revealed to be a force that replaces the “auras” (or souls) of the characters imbued with its properties, causing each wielders’ body and physical form to uniquely adapt in order to store and control the Power Cosmic.
